Priorities

Today is Saturday, that day that most runners are supposed to do their long runs. It is now almost 2:00, and I still have not gone to run. I have done a yoga workout and strength training but still no run. It is cold and wet outside and no motivation to go. I have thought a lot in the last few weeks about priorities, as we continue to be isolated at home and listening to the news on a daily basis. I continue to read stories of how some runners, run a 100 miles a week. I think I would like to be there someday.

I read another story about how to use this time to work on your weaknesses, which no one likes to do. It is much easier to work on your strengths. So setting some priorities maybe should be the priority. The definition of priority is “the fact or condition of being regarded or treated as more important.” What do we put first? What do we say yes too? What do we say no too? As we continue to work through these days of isolation. Just some thoughts.
