As I woke up early to do my run and my workout. We are still in the midst of the Coronavirus uncertainty. As I continue to read about people feeling isolated. I got a call from my sister today and she expressed her daughter was feeling isolated at home and wanted to know what they were doing today. I remember reading a story years ago about a women who had to stay hidden in a small room for fear of her life for over a year. I do not think that we are to that point but for the elderly, they are certainly a target of this virus. We have been cautioned to stay home and away from people, which continues to increase the fear as time goes on.
As I continued to talk to my sister this am, we were able to come up with some things that we could do to give to others. Write letters to the shut ins and deliver baked goods to the neighbors with the hope of giving to others. I have found in this time of uncertainty that I have seen my neighbors outside and talking to others from a distance. I am hoping times change where we do get out, see others and get to know our neighbors. So some good things may come out of this season of life because it too will pass.
